Last Mountain Times
With offices in Nokomis, SK., has been published continuously since 1908, starting off originally as the Nokomis Times. Over the years it has absorbed many local papers. In the early 1990’s the name was changed to Last Mountain Times to better reflect the area served.
The newspaper has had only four main owners, with the current owners being Dave and Linda Degenstien who purchased the business in late 2011. It is now a ‘family owned and operated business’, with Dave as the publisher and editor; Linda as the administrative assistant; Daniel is the sales and production manager; and Lori looks after accounts receivables and payables. In early 2018, the newspaper made a major expansion move, taking over the territory abandoned by the Lumsden Waterfront Press. Now printing 4,800 papers each week, Last Mountain Times is delivered free to all mailboxes in Nokomis, Raymore, Semans, Govan, Strasbourg / Duval, Bulyea, Early Grey, Silton, Southey, Craven, Lumsden, Regina Beach, Buena Vista, and Bethune. The newspaper also offers a free, online weekly subscription.
Last Mountain Times is proud to be serving the information and advertising needs of these communities, as well as providing job-printing and stationery supply services.
